What a waste indeed
In Response To: Not quite right Siffert... ()

This one has attracted attention and much ridicule also on the leading Italian Heuer fora.
Now we see some very good parts of two valuable watches, a first generation cal.11 Siffert and a late 11063 case, all mixed up.
So many precious parts, and in so good a shape, that would make happiness of anybody trying to bring proper (i.e. not this Frankentypes) vintage Autavias back to form.
This seller is really a mixed bag: some very good items from time to time, some "unknown unkwnons" (to put it the Dick Cheney's way), some questionable booklets and catalogues that many of us consider reprints, and now this.
By the way, they're also offering a nice Omega Speedmaster 176.0012 (also known as 'Mark 4.5') at what is probably four times its market value.
As long as they find people willing to buy overpriced but legit items OK, but the Frankens are really a shame, and worse for us a waste.

Cheers,

Fabrizio
