I have been on vacation, with limited internet access, and have not been able to post a notice about our second quarter 2010 version of “Chuck’s Flea Market”. So rather than letting the quarter come and go without a Flea Market, let’s have the Flea Market coincide with the coming July 4th weekend . . . we’ll open the Flea Market on Sunday, July 4th and close it a week later, on July 11th. As always, we will be somewhat relaxed about these opening and closing times, within reasonable limits.
For those not familiar with it, “Chuck’s Flea Market” was the creation of one of our founding members, Chuck Maddox. The idea is that at the end of each calendar quarter, we open our discussion forum so that our contributors can post listings to buy and sell watches -- so you can list watches for sale, tell us about the ones you want to buy, or propose trades. These Flea Markets have been a successful outlet for many of our contributors; they are a good way for our chronographs to find new homes and a good way for our readers to show how their collections may be shifting (specifically, telling other readers about the watches they are seeking to buy and sell).
So my apology for the delay in this Flea Market, but now let’s get out the watches that you are not wearing, crank up the trusty digital camera, and let’s see some interesting listings starting on July 4th.
