Silverstones are performing better than last year, prices have gone up steadily - but not spectacularly. Perhaps 10%+
The demand seems to be centred around bordeaux variants, less so fume. Blue are a bit rarer than bordeaux variants but without a doubt right now bordeaux is most requested.
I expect interest to continue at least until post Bonhams auction and guess much will depend on the 1/1 Red Silverstone price achieved. My hunch would be that if the hammer price is at or above the £8k estimate we may well see Silverstone values increase further. Of course there may well be a general increase in Heuers post Bonhams auction, in fact i expect the rarer variants and nos Heuers to increase further...i guess the real question is will this hold for the medium term or drop back down as per Omegamania.
Cheers

: Meertz had the best part of the bottom left-hand shelf in the
: window more or less full of Heuers for at least 5 years now,
: it's been a regular stop for me when I visit, but I remember
: when that was just spilling over onto the second page on their
: website - five pages is a lot! Though you need to knock off the
: "Verkauft" ones, of course, but that's only 5 watches
: so it would still be 5 pages anyway.
: And the Silverstones are definitely shifting quicker than before.
: Using Meertz is a good choice there, because they had the same
: three Silverstones for a long time a couple of years back before
: shifting them but now they definitely seem to be going in and
: out much quicker.
: It would be interesting to see if Jasper or any of our other
: regular dealers is seeing the same trends.
