I have to agree with you Fabrizio. Especially when you take into account that these rarer plated bracelets with correct end links are changing hands (in europe) at 400+ Euro's.
I hope this nice example has been won buy by a member of 'the family'. If thats the case nice win.

: Dear all, I followed this to the end though I did not pull the
: trigger as I had already done that on another, much less pricey,
: item on the night:
:
: Now I am no expert on these 11630's still this Autavia looked very,
: very good, with all the lume intact, a perfect bezel insert, and
: a bracelet.
: The dial just has a little discoloration on the chrono subdials but
: imho this is a very nice watch and a remarkable item of Orange
: Boy.
: It's the same type as on Arno's book.
: Still it has fetched short of 1700 USD - good for the buyer, but it
: made me wonder about the causes:
: - mid August and few people hang round hunting for Autavia's?
: - maybe it's not so nice after all and I missed some hidden flaws?
: - this is not so much a desirable item and that's a good price?
: I just hope the lucky winner anyone in our family, but what are
: your thoughts?
: Cheers,
: Fabrizio
