Just the right amount of course. The painless wonders have their attributes, but not a watch I would want to own, even if it was a one owner, box and papers, etc. Just doesn't do it for me. Mint is nice, even preferable, but a few battle scars are most acceptable.
Case in point, my PVD panerai, which I had been searching for for 3 plus years. It is an honest watch, a fair amount of scratches here and there, the 'right' patina, no box or papers..all in all a great wearer.
