i thought i'd share this with the heuer guys on the forum. some of you may be familiar with the iconic heuer "bundeswehr" valjoux-23 chronograph:
well, heuer created and offered for consideration a cal-12 powered "chronomatic" version. since this was done on heuer's nickel and there was no requirement, it was never adopted.
as i understand it, there are perhaps a handful of these prototypes that exist -- one is known to have been in gerd-r lang (of chronoswiss) collection and another turned up a few years ago via michael kobold (the eponymous founder of kobold watches).
