Thanks Walter, very interesting article. I like the continuation of the story, which turns up some interesting things about "what happened next". That the Sinn 156 is a rather nice watch, for one!
Those AMI 7750s look suspect from a number of perspectives - the first uses the pre-war style of Heuer "shield" and, though it lingered on post-WWII for some models, it had already been replaced with the deeper shield for new models like the 403 and 433 in 1946. That one would find its way onto a movement from 1973 on would beggar a bit too much belief for me. On the other, it looks even more like an afterthought, as do the 3H markings on both watches. Possible? Yes, but I for one am not convinced.
