: Are people stupid? Or do they just not care if they buy a part bin
: watch as NOS? It's easy to do a quick research on Google to see
: what kind of movement that is correct to a 844.
: Take a look:
: Yesterday a Heuer diver ref. 844/3 sold for USD 1 107.00 on Ebay.
: The seller was Watchmeister'n known for some questionable
: Heuers.
: This diver was sold as NOS. But the hands is non Heuer replacements
: of the wrong type. The crown is to small, of wrong type and
: signed TagHeuer. And finally the movement is a new TagHeuer
: signed ETA 2428. It's is clearly NOT the vintage ETA 2872 it
: should have been. It's even stamped 93 on the rotor witch dates
: it to 1993.
: Someone has just paid USD 1100.00 for a nice Heuer case and dial.
: He still misses original hands, crown and movement if he wants a
: original 844.
: This is clearly NOT a NOS Heuer 844 diver.
: I feel sad for the one that bought this.
: This summer wee have seen two Heuer diver break the USD 1000.00
: mark. Both has been part bin watches claimed to be NOS. They are
: great if you need some parts, but these prices is just crazy.
