Insurance coverage and appraisals...

I warn you: this might be a boring topic!!!

Has any of you, US collectors, explored the possibility of insurance coverage for your watch collection? The Heuer family is growing and my insurance broker is telling that in order to include the collection under my home policy, I must provide an appraisal not older than two years for any single watch. This seems to me a lot of work and likely an extra cost. I have no idea where to get an appraisal and what the price range would be? Anybody able to shed some light is appreciated....

Greetings,
Francesco

PS. The bank safe is for me still the very last choice....I wear all my watches and enjoy picking up the right watch for the daily mood, without visiting my branch...-;)
