I'd agree with that advice.
In Response To: Possible remedy to this ()

Yeah Darren,
I'd agree with that advice.
I don't know whether they'd undertake the work though.
By 'recycling' my guess is that they're cleaning up old parts and re-using them.

Message to anyone sending their vintage Heuer back to HQ is be clear as to your expectations and what they're going to do, which by the way, doesn't seem to be negotiable.

For example say you just need a bezel insert.
They have original bezels but they won't sell them to you directly.
They won't swap a bezel without doing a service.
They won't do a service without replacing the pushers, hands, crown and glass.
All pretty logical and understandable I guess and covers them in case of anything going wrong.

From initial emails I was under the impression that my original parts were being binned and found that weird as I'd only recently replaced my pushers with NOS ones.
I'm not sure how I feel about the fact they now appear to be re-using them.
As far as I was concerned, the parts belong to me and returning the originals also proves they've been replaced.
There was never any mention of these being 'exchange' items.
I'm still thinking about this one.

Incidentally, don't get me wrong here - I'm really pleased with the work as they did a fantastic job and the watch in question is looking and running as new.
AndyO...

: It seems a harsh line of treatment from TAG.
: A possible way to counter it in future could be to have the parts
: you are going to have replaced removed from the watch before it
: goes to TAG for service.
: They cant take what they dont receive !
: Sorry to hear it Andy.
: Cheers - Darren
