Jeff, I know exactly what you mean regarding the seller. It was heated at the start to the point that I just about gave up and walked away.
However, following a frosty start we did establish an understanding and were able to deal. In fact following the deal being agreed he couldn't have been more helpful

: Congratulations on bringing this one into the
: "family", where it belongs!!
: I exchanged e-mails with the seller in two rounds -- once when he
: was asking $15K and again after he dropped the price into the
: $8K range. At first, I really wanted this watch, but could not
: get comfortable with the seller. Over time, I got comfortable
: with the seller (realizing that he was difficult in these sorts
: of things), but lost interest in the watch, at the kind of price
: we were discussing. The irony here is that if he had been
: friendly and supportive, I might have bought the watch, once we
: got into the realistic price range.
: I am happy that you had the stomach to deal with the seller, and
: the reward seems to have been a fantastic, rare watch. On behalf
: of our little community, thanks for bringing this one home!!
: Enjoy it!!
: Jeff
