Hi Thomas,
i would suggest that the serial number is indeed on the early side of the trans series.
My Chronomatic has the same issue with a digit worn and difficult to read. Its clearly 157X21 with the X having been judged to be a possible 0 or 3.
Either way your watch cant be so far away from the Chronomatic series.
