The bezel insert on mine doesn't protrude that much.

The glass looks a little high too, but they are both simple fixes I would imagine. Best guess is that the bezel insert has been crudely re-glued down at some point and an excess of glue may have lifted the insert. A new glass costs peanuts (non-Heuer), so easy to get that replaced.
