: I require your help I have a mint condition Heuer 2000 mid size
: with a water damaged movement....
: Have found loads of ladies TAG Heuer movements for sale but no mid
: size.
: Does anyone know what ETA number this movement is?
: If I have to I will replace it with a swiss made generic movement,
: not ideal but it will keep the watch as a usable classic
I'm a little confused. You say that you have found loads of ladies Tag movements, and yet you do not know the number of the specific ETA movement that will fit your watch and of which you seek?
I was in the same predicament some time back with a movement that was 'cactus', (Australian slang for not working!). I whipped the back off, got the movement number, and then a google search for ETA (insert movement number.) Such is the wealth of information available, you can get specific info if the required movement is still available new, or the details of the substituted movement. Not sure if I can recommend Companies to try on OTD, and will err on the side of caution, so send me an email if you want that info.
Good Luck
