Here's a pic if the Heuer (though slightly different case). "Poor man's" seems to be a misnomer like "The Big Bang".
Any vintage chrono that has a Valjoux triple date movement is pretty spendy these days regardless of the brand name.
Maybe we could think of another discriptor:
1) Down in his luck man's....
2) Overextended man's....
3) Unemployed man's....
4) Too many watches man's....
