Five-step process, as follows:

1. I don't know of a stand-alone article describing the history of the Autavia chronographs. The best place to start is probably the Autavia Chronograph -- Main Page of the OnTheDash.com website. Work through the Reference Table and the hundreds of photographs, and you will have a good sense of the models, versions and variations of the Autavia.

2. For the history of Heuer, you may want to peruse the History Section of the TAG-Heuer website.

3. After you work through those resources (or even beforehand, if you like), post your specific questins here.

4. Just to be certain that you have mastered the history, print out this collage (produced by Shaun Wainstein), and see how many you can identify:

   

5. Repeat steps 1. through 4., as necessary.
