: All:
: I have just spent an amazing nine hours in New York City, seeing
: the Haslinger Collection at Bonhams, meeting friends from this
: forum, and catching up with some friends at TAG-Heuer. It was
: absolutely fantastic, from beginning to end, the watches, the
: friends, the stories, the scene, etc.
: Sometimes I wonder why we spend so much time on these watches --
: studying them, chasing them, admiring them, photographing them,
: telling their stories, etc. I mean, in the end, they are just
: watches . . . just things. But a day like today gives me a new
: appreciation of this hobby; as we spend time on the watches, we
: are spending time with friends, usually online but on some
: special cases, in person.
: It was an awesome day . . . I know that many of us will be writing
: about it over the next few weeks . . . just this quick note to
: start this thread, as a rallying point, and to say thanks to all
: who were a part of this wonderful day.
