Heuer Pre-Carrera 415: Venus?

Hi guys,

Here's a question which I received from a Dutch watch collector who I did not know yet.His name is Luuk Rengers and he has 12 Heuers ( saw a nice two dial Carrera with D-dial , so quite a collector I would say) Welcome Luuk!

One of the Heuers he has is a Heuer pre-Carrera 415 ( as in the 1962 catalogue). It looks great, but he is not sure whether it is fully authentic. Reason? It carries a Venus calibre instead of Valjoux.

So the question is, is anybody aware of pre-Carrera's with non-Valjoux calibres?? in other words, can it be that Heuer used Venus in those days as well? As far as I know most Heuers are with Valjoux, some Landeron and Calibre 11/12/15 etc.

Does anybody have a clue??

Ron
