Hi Carol
Thanks for stopping by.
As to a price point, there are at least three things that are working against you on this one:
1. It is a ladies watch. Not to discriminate or anything, but the market for ladies sport watches is much smaller than men's sizes. Therefore the number of buyers is smaller. With a smaller audience, it is harder to get good bidding going.
2. It is a quartz watch. As the market moved from mechanical to quartz watches the prices went down accordingly. They are just not appreciated due to a lack of the fine workmanship required in a good mechanical watch. That's truely were the magic and the money is.
3. It is a black finished watch. These watches tend to be harder to care for, not as dressy and therefore they are not a true working sport watch(too easy to scratch) and may not be appropriate for that evening outfit where an all gold or silver watch matches the rest of the jewelry.
Now on the bright side. Diver's watches are a collectable for many people. And your example being in great shape will do well.
When listing your watch make sure you include some really good closeups. Good pictures sell watches!
Not knowing the original purchase price, seeing a picture or how old your watch is, it is hard to judge the price. I would start it at a hundred dollars to get some action going. If you start too high it scares off the bidders. You can always set a reserve for what you think it is worth and hope it gets there.
Good Luck. Post a pic here and we might be able to help more.
