Can you post some more pictures or your 844/1 particularly the back case. Also, have you got a picture of the movement?
I have seen very few 844/1 and 844/2, the majority of full size automatic Heuer divers have the reference 844/3 so yours and Jeff's (previously mine) are both early executions and rare. Maybe with some more pictures we can figure out if there are any differences apart from the reference numbers.
