The pair went for $5.5k.
I remember reading a thread on a forum about classic cars not so long ago. There was a few 'old timers' discussing the Heuer timers, saying that they remember the old rally days when there were boxes of these things kicking around the garages/pits, no one gave them a second look. They were simply tools, treated like any other rally essentials, like night lamps, spanners etc!!
I'm sure there must be a few attics with a couple of boxes full of these beauties.
