Second hand adj on quartz movement?

I have an older 1000 Series Heuer Quartz Diver, model 980.006L. Keeps great time, but between ticks, the second hand doesn't line up exactly on the dial markers. Kind of stops short 2/3rds of the way. Is there a way to adjust this?
