Can someone explain what a GMT watch or GMT function is. The Rolex GMT-Master, Heuer Autavia GMT, etc. type have a second hour hand that rotates around the dial once every 24-hours. This allows you to keep track of Military time, or the time in a second timezone via the 24-hour bezel. The Rolex GMT-Master-II, Omega Seamaster GMT, etc. have an independently setable second hour hand that you can set to the 24-hour time in a second timezone, and be able to read what time it is in that timezone. What and how does this function work. I have a Tag heuer GMT with the extra hand.Thank you fred Cheers! -- Chuck (Article index @ http://www.xnet.com/~cmaddox/cm3articles.html) Chronographs, like most finer things in life, only get better with time…
Depends on the type of GMT watch...
Hopefully this short explanation is useful enough to get the idea across, if not, feel free to ask!
