The dial looks ok to me. I've seen the 1000-logo together with "automatic" before.
My guess is that it is the only good part on the watch ;-)
What about the movement? It's "swiss made" but could it be Heuer? Nog logo whatsoever on it...

: Difficult to tell from the pics.. but...
: Case looks weird, with the notches in the crown recess.
: Minute hand looks wrong. Crown is wrong.
: Seconds hand looks white, which would be wrong.
: Pretty sure there was never an 844 that had '1000' on the dial.
