Eric:
Nice Navia!! These are great timepieces, and we find them in some interesting places . . . old boats, for example. It's also nice to see this one with the "S.A.V.I.C." on the dial, which we have discussed here previously. SAVIC was the French importer of Heuers, with a particular specialization in the industrial and scientific field, perhhaps parallel to Fisher here in the United States. [Here is a previous posting re SAVIC, with some information from Jack Heuer himself -- http://www.chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=24169]
With your permission, I would like to "grab" a couple of your excellent photos, to add to our Navia Gallery -- http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_DashMounted/Other_Models/Navia/ I also have come across an instruction sheet for the Navias, which I will hope to scan and upload soon.
Thanks for posting this message and the link to your very impressive gallery.
Jeff
