The term "Viceroy" is sometimes like the term "Siffert", unclear whether we are talking about a color scheme, one particular execution of a watch, or a group of similar models.
To my way of thinking, a "Viceroy" is a black-dial automatic Autavia, with the following features:

: Stewart - as far as I can tell the only distinguishing factor about
: the Viceroy is the V above the 1163 engraved between the lugs.
: The Viceroy also featured the Tachy bezel and I would guess that
: the majority would house a cal 12 movement. The dial and hands
: are the same as the later 1163 MH which also has the white
: stripe in the hour markers. The confusing thing is that you can
: obviously get a Tachy bezel on a 1163 without the V on the case.
: Is that a Viceroy as well? Maybe someone else can clear than one
: up.
