well, despite some warnings...i went ahead and bought one of these "NOS" french heuer handwind chronos from germany. even if it's not correct and "authentic", whatever that means, i just happen to really like the look of this particular model - and the questionable sword-style hands actually add to the look. at least in pictures...we'll see in the flesh.
not my smartest purchase, but i'm hopeful that i'll still be as happy about it when it arrives from deutschland.
this one is also sans crystal, so i'll be looking for some sort of retrofit - probably a modestly domed acrylic piece of some sort. i'd appreciate any suggestions or sources.
