Hello Folks,
My Heuer Verona finally arrived. I have to admit I like it even more than Carrera, photos of which I posted some time ago for your judgment. Verona is definitely beefier. Alghough the Buren is not near as refined as Valjoux 72, I like its original design. The microrotor is hidden under the dial.
Previous owner lives in La Chaux-de-Fonds and the guy who sold me the watch knew in person author of caliber 11 - Mr. Kocher. He told me that the building where they manufactured Buren movements still exists in a village called also Buren, even the machinary is there. I was actually going after Autavia, but could not resist when I saw scans of this one. Perhaps I will afford Autavia one day!
Jeff, I will email you high resolution images in acompressed file, in case you would like to upload this Verona to the catalogue.
