of these three, only Kodak now attaches its name to very low quality products -- the line of Easy Share digital cameras, which begin at $79.
Pan Am . . . leading airline in the world, now gone.
Bugatti . . . re-born after failure. Still, not sure that they ever manufactured low-quality cars. Compare Buick, Mercury, Pontiac and Oldsmobile.
Kodachrome . . . legendary product for over 70 years, left behind by technological change.

: while their cameras never competed with the Nikons and Canons of
: the world, one can certainly shed a tear when we see the current
: line of $79 Kodak Easy Share cameras, in place of the old-time
: racks of Kodachrome and Kodacolor film. Certainly a company that
: lost its way, or got overtaken while it stood still, in its line
: of cameras and film.
: and how about those wonderful old Polaroid cameras!! Who can
: remember the miracle of seeing a decent color photo in three
: minutes!!
