Nice pic Rich. Another marking I've seen Singer use, as well as this JS symbol, is a stylised swan - maybe the tiny hearts is lots of the swans facing each other?

Singer and Heuer are fairly near neighbours in La Chaux-de-Fonds so that may have been part of it, but Singer were also one of the dominant dial manufacturers of the time, supplying Rolex and Omega as well as Heuer, and undoubtedly others too. I'm sure Heuer did look elsewhere as well, analogous to the arrangements with Piquerez and Schmitz for cases.

I was convinced I'd seen a discussion here about another dial supplier but I can't find it for the life of me. I don't often get to see the dial reverse, but the spare ones I have are either marked Singer or unmarked. I remember leafing through a lot of spare Heuer dials all neatly stored in plastic wallets a few years back at the Munich fair but I was paying attention more to the dial obverse than the backs!
