Re: The new old Monza... old new... you get what I mean!
: I don't have a period watch collection, I know a little about
: watches, and have a couple of pieces. A semi educated watch
: purchaser. Having said that, there is no way I would buy this,
: with the dial that it exhibits. Movement may be great, case has
: potential, in fact I like it, but what were they thinking with
: that dial and those hands? Hopefully as Jeff says, some will see
: this and say yes. Not me. There other releases (that I have
: seen) that thankfully dwarf this particular watch.
have to say I like it a lot, first impressions, I should know about the cal 36 mov but really I don’t. A pastiche of history, well, one only has to look at a book or find all the facts to realise there is nothing wrong in calling it a Monza, if the case looks like a re edition Monza, have a look at a Camaro, you know what i mean, we will all be chasing our tails about what is right or not concerning the noble name Monza on a watch. A third sub dial would complete the aesthetic, I can see that now, price aside I would buy one. Pretty stupendous it think.
