The thing is - an honest RSR clone could be a lot of fun.

Now, companies stamping down on trademark & copyright breeches is an important issue (if a sore point with guitar players like me at the moment!) and TAG Heuer is perfectly within their rights to jump all over anyone selling *cough* "Heuer" watches on the net - but what would you think if an auction was worded like this?

"1970's style chronograph Valjoux mvt, Heuer case

This is a watch assembled from a new old stock case & dial left over from Heuer's French producton in the late '70s. A reconditioned Valjoux movement has been fitted and while it isnt stamped Heuer, it's the correct movement for this style of watch. The watch is keeping good time.

For moral reasons the inside of the case back has been stamped "fake".

A fun, quality chronograph for less than the cost of a genuine Heuer."

Would any of you then take a gamble on one because you liked the look?
