This item is a 1978 Heuer "Silverstone" stainless steel man's chronograph wristwatch. Mike apparently had four of these watched engraved and gave them as gifts to the team who worked with him at his "come back" TT in 1978 on the Isle of Man. This one was given to long term "mate" and de facto manager, Ted Macauley. Ted retained this watch, seemingly unworn for 31 years, before finally parting with it to the vendor. Reported to be in working order, this is a very special and desireable wristwatch indeed, not only for being a Heuer Silverstone, but with the Hailwood connection as well.....
