2444 descendent?

Very interesting and very cool dial. It looks to me to be a direct descendent of this ref 2444 dial from the late 50's. Perhaps they tried to reuse the design?

Having a tachy scale on the dial and a M or H or MH bezel makes sense, and has been produced by Heuer, albeit also in tiny quantities:
