The weather here on the east coast has finally turned, thankfully because this watch begs to be shot in the sun.
The Transitional Monaco is to me the perfect watch. A bold design that still captures praise 40 odd years later, a mood
that changes with the light and rare enough to get a thumbs up from the most hardened of collectors.
This watch is lot 26 from the Bonhams auction and I couldn't be happier.
In the shots I tried to show the range of colours from the dial and despite my best effort it still pales in comparison
to the watch in person.
If you do not have a metallic dial Heuer you are missing out.
The lens used is a Takumar SMC 135 2.5 with adapter ring for my Canon 1d markII. I have yet to see a better bokah.
The bike is an 08 Yamaha R6, my nice weather commuter.
Enjoy
Rob
