There are ultimately two different ways to look at this issue
A. - Which would be the last 3 Heuer's i would sell out of my own collection. Due to scarecity/rarity it would be tough to find some of my favourite pieces - and the expense !!!!!
1. Chronomatic Monaco
2. Chronomatic Bundeswehr
3. Autavia 1163 GMT 1-24 bezel
OR
B. - Which 3 Heuer's would i buy if i were starting over. With an eye to costs and availability.
1. Monaco 1133B - standard Steve McQueen mystique and style. Pleasing to eye & gets recognised by others.
2. Autavia 1163 GMT 1-24 bezel - i just have to have an Autavia in the collection and this has the right splash of colour
3. Silverstone Fume - Metallic dial makes for great reactions from the light & the colour is oh so 70's cool.
There we have it - 6 watches named under 2 different scerio's and all 6 of them were Cal.11/12 varients. No wonder i chose my forum name to be Darren Cal.11/12

-: ... Heuer watches in their collection, what would they be??
: This began with a conversation I had with a friend about what my
: next watch would be and how many more I wanted. I said I needed
: to raise some more funds before then but it got me thinking.
: Everyone has there own personal choices of designs, style and
: function and of course budget, but if you could only have 3
: Heuers in your collection, what would they be?
: I don't necessarily mean your 'dream, cost not an issue,',
: 3, but 'putting your own hand in your pocket and paying cold
: hard folding for them', 3.
: I'm hoping this will throw open some ideas that I might've
: previously overlooked and is just a bit of fun for Monday
: morning.
