My Belief: Franken or Fake

It is impossible to be certain about the authenticity of these older watches, but I believe that this one is either a fake (no Heuer parts or minimal Heuer content) or "franken" (made primarily of Heuer components, but not made by Heuer).

I have never seen a "broad arrow" on a Heuer chronograph.

: Hi all,

: I'm scouting around the internet trying to find information on this
: watch I recently bought and hope some of you might be able to
: help.

: I bought it as a vintage Heuer chronograph and straight away I
: noticed the broad arrow on the dial which usually means British
: military? However, I can find no British Heuer military watch.

: Further to this, I popped the back and found a Valjoux movement but
: with no Heuer markings.

: So I guess what I'm asking is, is this a military watch and is it
: even a Heuer? Or is it an older re-dialed watch/a franken watch?

: Any help would be very much apprechiated!

: Thanks

: Robert
