Hope the trip is going well DC.
I agree about case depth, its a bit of an issue for me...the original 1133 case is a perfect weight and size...the overall depth on the 24 i suspect would be too chunky for my taste, but like everything you don't know until you try...once a blue dial variant with white subs lands (please dont use orange accents on the dial with the blue TH!) i will go and try one.
I do love the way the movement looks though and think the rear case is much nicer than the standard McQueen re-edition. Like framing a work of art...
