That's twice the cylinder count of the largest engines fitted to the E24 6 series and 2 more than the E63 M6. You could probably get someone to have a go at fitting the V12 from an E38 7 series in the older 6 but be prepared to chuck money at it!
Would be a pretty mean car but it wouldn't look like it would eat you, like the new M3 DTM does!
