A Really Super Autavia?

On the bay, a Super Autavia with a BIN of $9,999.99 because, seller says, it's NOS, despite the discoloration and torn box. Perhaps, but strikes me isn't the absurd price, or even the dubious NOS claim, but that the seller wants $50 to ship it. If, by chance, he found someone willing to spend $10k on a Super Autavia of quite mundane appearance, would he not be gracious enough to, say, ship it at cost, if not gratis?

I'm all for the increasing value of dash timers, but some of these auctions are just too much to take.
