Looking at Peter's beautiful 73463, with the silver dial and black registers, and the related Heuer catalogs from 1972 (above) and 1974 (below), it is interesting to see the move from the Sifferts to the brushed silver dials.

Both these dials are described in the catalog as being "luminous silverplated", but we know that the Sifferts were actually a flat white and the later ones were the true brushed silver finish.

Yet another instance of oddities in these old catalogs!!
