Ah, so the scale is actually attached to the second hand and moves with it? That makes more sense, I thought that scale was affixed to the dial starting at the 12 position and couldn't work out how in hell that was supposed to measure anything!! Thanks Lou.

Still, with the extra drag on the centre pinion thanks to an asymmetrical hand and an 18000 bph movement, I think implying 1/10 second accuracy is a bit cheeky!
