I was using two remote Nikon speedlights (SB-800 and SB-900), one on each side, diffused through sheets of frosted acrylic. I am guessing that I need to either (a) get less flash / power them down, or (b) change the exposure / settings, or (c) both of the above. But they were fully diffused.
Generally, I am seeking detail / realism / accuracy, though I do miss the creative opportunities.
