Great messages, Lou . . . very informative!!
As an aside, I am always puzzled when we see such great information memorialized in discussion forums, rather than webpages, but so long as the discussion forum is stable and reliable, it probably works out just as well. In my view, such important information belongs on a permanent website [like OnTheDash]. I say this with all humility, and to suggest that simple websites can be created and maintained to preserve such information, in a place where it will be under your control and wher you can add to it, as you see fit. This style of updating is cumbersome on a discussion forum. I also admit that I have done a poor job of harvesting information and images from this forum, and creating the ideal "permanent home", in OnTheDash.
Previously, we have discussed the fact that it is easy to open additional vintage forums here, but no need or inclination to do that if people are happy where they are.

: we may have something like that. For now, nothing comes close.
: We're a much smaller community of enthusiasts, but growing and
: slowly sorting out the mysteries of the early Primero as we go.
: Know, though, that David's watch has resulted in dropped jaws in
: the Primero parallel universe as well. There were only 1000 of
: these watches produced in 1971, and an NOS is darned rare. That
: angular case is so easy to screw up through overpolishing, so it
: is especially pleasing to see one with razor sharp edges and an
: unblemished finish.

: There are several steel references as well as all the gold
