I agree. Sometimes I think we put too much emphasis on a 40 year old watch looking perfect rather than an honest, intact 40 year old watch. It's like trailer queens versus drivers, one is to look at and the other is to use. My sense is that by pointing out every normal bit of wear and tear, we create an atmosphere where people become afraid to buy and afraid to wear watches.
I suspect his may not really be healthy.
