My watch has dial lume of a very similar shade to Jeff's Zodiac (maybe just a slight shade more yellow as you rotate the wrist and play with the angels of light).
My watch too was an estate watch but came from a very uninformed daughter that knew nothing of the history. When i first received the watch i thought there must have been a replacement dial at some stage but i have consistantly noted the dial markers on others watches have not faded at the same rate as on the hands. This leaves me in some doubt as to whether its a replaced dial but with all other components of the watch in such fine order why would the dial have required a change out. I cant access my photo's of the watch at the moment as its on my PC that crashed.
I dont want to seem uninformed here but what year is the general consensus for this execution? I have assumed 1968 but could be out by upto 2 years!
Does anyone have a paperwork complete set to help us learn the sale date?
I know you're a lume patina conissuer David so i say congrats on your watch. Is this your favourite model manual GMT?
Cheers - Darren
