wau what a weekend....Iris and i have been to the Goodwood Revival Event in England.....great show again and you always meet fantastic people , like:

A former DEREK BELL F1 car mechaniker , named just B.W. , who did work 5 month on the LeMans movie Set in 1970 with Steve McQueen too.

Heres the Story:

B.W. was asked by Derek Bell if he would like to be in the a Steve McQueen movie in summer 1970 tie , he then was contracted by Solar Production Film for 5 months to stay in france on the set and he lived with Derek Bell in one House too.
His job would be to maintenace a Ferrari 512 S in the movie...so he became a actor in the film ..you will see him with a orange Gulf mechaniker suite on!!.
As the first Ferrari had a accident on the set ...they got a brand new one from Maranello and he didnt have to work alot on the new car too.....
After the Movie was finished the Property Master made up a Film- stage- props- sale in a tent for all actors and filmworker s on the set !!

B.W. told me that Steve McQueen took personally and gave away 3 watches to his friends and Managers too !! This would be a evidence / Proof for A.the Antiquarum sold watch from his finace manager, B:Michaels Lettermanns watch and C.the watch he gave personally to his friend Helmut Kelleners ( now onwed by Jasper Bitter)!!

So B.W. took a choice at this Stage Prop sale too and picked up one origl. Monaco from the Property Master but did not get any certificate at the site from the property Master( But David Piper and also Derek Bell will proof this sale and story too!!!!).
( As we know the Property Master later sold two more Set watches with certificate to different owners ) .

So here s the new list of origl. Film Set Steve McQueen Monacos 1133 B:

1. Monaco 1133 B , Serial No. 1xxxxx ex David de Vos , sold to the TagHeuer Museum
2. Monaco 1133 B , Serial No. 1xxxxx owner Lorenzo Italy
3. Monaco 1133 B , Serial No. 1xxxxx ex. Michael Ledermann( I think that’s his name.from Ca -USA) , friend of Steve , at the set and sold steve a porsche-got the Monaco as present, that how he told it to me personally last year?( David says he bought it from somebody else..?well anyway it sold in Okt. 2008 to a Italien Guy from Milan on the Padoa Car show..for 45000 usd.. i was offered the timerset and have seen the watch their too.
4. Monaco 1133 B , Serial No............. from a friend of steve, and his finance manager too... sold for total of 87000 usd on the auction thru Antiquorum in june 2009
5. Monaco 1133 B , Serial No. 160346 with steel brachelet , owner Jasper Bitter, sold in july 2009 from porsche 917 race driver Helmut Kelleners ( 3 mounths at the set le mans in 1970 ) he saw also the box with about 20 watches and he told me too: steve took the first choice pick!!!
6. Monaco 1133 B , Serial No. On hold by a privat seller,
7. Monaco 1133 B, Serial No. 1603XX owned by ex. mechaniker at the movie set NAMED B.W.

well finally we are getting to close the mysteries about how many Monaco and other Heuer watches have been at the film set from the movie Le Mans in july 1970 tie.

Well as David de vos wrote about his information from the property master, we know their was a box or case with 20 different Heuer Watches inside given to the set by Jack Heuer.

But i spook to Gerd Rüdiger Land from Chronoswiss in 2004 ( also Arno did this later too for research on his book..) and i wrote down this Le Mans Monaco Story then.....as it wasnt Jack Heuer on the SET, Gerd Rüdiger himself gave the 20 Chronomatics - Monacos- Carreras- Autavias to the property master.!!!
