Stewart, I think this watch has issues with the seal melt problem so maybe not the best buy after all. I saw the end of the auction and watched it go from £4300 to £7100 in the last 11 seconds. If it was perfect it would've been worth a punt if you already had a PVD case with damaged dial but I personally think it doesn't look right in the SS case. Horses for courses though...
David H
: said it was 'doing well'.
: I'm sure the purists will baulk at the fact that it's been
: re-cased, but personally I think it looks superb.. I actually
: prefer it to the correct PVD case.
: I was on this.. I thought it was my opportunity to grab something I
: really wanted for less than market value, due to the incorrect
: case. I was willing to go to €5k, and I thought that would do
: it.
: I'm not surprised it made what it it, and, to be frank.. if I could
: have moved on a few of my other Heuers, I would have been
: prepared to go to €8k.
: The result doesn't surprise me, and it is a superb watch that
: someone is going to get a lot of pleasure from. I hope it was
: someone on here.. If it is, I congratulate you. I've bought
: before from the same seller, and the deal was flawless.
: Long live the Silver Lord!
: Cheers
: Stewart
