Watching the replays, I wondered how these cars were running so fast on that track. In retrospect, it looked absolutely crazy . . . almost surprising that more of the drivers were not killed in the accident.
I watched Part 4 of the BBC special, "Grand Prix -- The Killer Years" and saw how Rindt, Siffert, Roger Williamson and many others were killed on the track. It's an interesting, well-made video, perhaps a fitting tribute to those who died in the sport . . . seems that no matter how much attention they pay to safety, the racers will always face the threat of death.
