: This book has lots of neat stuff and the
: illustrations are great. I have an earlier
: edition (1956), and page 59 shows the
: Abercrombie Auto-Graph, the Abercrombie
: Autavia (dash-mounted), the Longines Olympic
: and the Abercrombie Auto-Mark.
: Interestingly, the "Timepieces"
: chapter refers to two companies that had
: distinguished themselves in navigational and
: sports-event timing: Longines-Wittnauer and
: Wakmann. Heuer is not mentioned, even though
: they actually made the Abercrombie
: timepieces that are shown.
: It will be interesting to see whether there is
: any updating in the later edition.
We'll have to talk when I receive it... It would be interesting to see what updates if any are included in the revised edition.
